As cliché as it may sound, you need to stop comparing and start valuing your own individual journey. Develop a growth mindset

The way you perceive your successes and failures can affect your well-being, which is why it is important to develop a growth mindset. This is the belief that you are able to keep improving. One of the ways you can reinforce this mindset is by overcoming challenges every time. This isn't always easy, but it can be made easier if you anticipate these challenges as you set your goals and devise ways to overcome them in advance. You will also need to be prepared to adjust your plan if an unexpected challenge arises.

Use the Kaizen approach: strive for 1% progress, not perfection

Personal growth is a lifelong process. Sure, being a perfectionist may have its place to some degree, but if you overdo it, you risk doing yourself and those around you a disservice.

If you're plagued by the pursuit of perfectionism, it's better to shift your focus to the progress you've made, rather than perfection, to avoid feeling discouraged. Perfectionism can even have serious adverse effects on your mental health.

To give you an idea, pretend you like music and decide to play the violin. You then realize that it is so much harder than it looks once you pick up the violin. Suddenly, your goal of achieving the mastery level you once dreamed of seems like too daunting a task… and you might be tempted to throw in the towel.

Do a reality check first. Accept that you cannot become a violinist overnight. However, your skills will slowly improve if you keep practicing every day. Change your mindset to be 1% better than yesterday, which is known as the Kaizen-approximation.
